Ghost Stories at Shofuso with Denise McCormack

Bring a date and experience a revival of the traditional hyakumonogatari ghost story telling parties of the Edo period. Storyteller and spoken word artist Denise McCormack LLC will thrill guests with traditional Japanese ghost stories told by candlelight and aided by the traditional atmosphere of Shofuso.

Refreshments will be provided. Dress warmly and bring a blanket — the event starts at sundown and it can get quite chilly. Tickets $25 ($20 JASGP members); please note there is limited seating.

Halloween Happening

Denise McCormack will tell stories of ghosts and goblins at the County Collage of Morris, 214 Center Grove Road, Randolph, NJ, 07869 from 4 to 5:30 pm.  The Student Community Center Lobby will be the site of this event.  McCormack presents these stories to families and school aged children.  Admission is free. Costumes are encouraged.

Ingrid Bohn, Denise McCormack, and Karen Maurer will tell family friendly frightening fables and fabrications at the Public Library of Catasauqua on Thursday, October 26th from 6 to 7:30 pm.  Please come in costume for this mysterious event.  The Catasuaqua Public Library is at 3rd and Bridge Streets in Catasauqua, PA 18032.  Admission is free.  Canned food donations will be collected for Second Harvest Food Bank.

Fright Night

On October 25th at 7 pm, Godfrey Daniels and the Lehigh Valley Storytelling Guild present their yearly horror and Halloween storytelling event.  Charles Kiernan, Denise McCormack and Robin Reichert cast spells of doubt and doom over the willing audience.  The first half of the program will be mildly frightening.  Woe to those who stay for the second half.  Their bones may freeze as they listen to tales macabre and mysterious.

$7.50 admission.  Bring a canned food donation and get $3.50 off your admission price.

Join Karen Maurer, Charles Kiernan and Bruce Marold as they tell deliciously scary tales at the Emmaus Public Library on October 17th. Miss Sue, the youth services librarian, will make a special appearance. On October 17th at 7 pm, LVSG members will weave their woeful tales at the Emmaus Public Library, 11 East Main Street, Emmaus PA 18049.  FREE to the public.  Bring some canned food to keep the less fortunate in this realm!

On October 25,  at Godfrey Daniels, 7 East 4th Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015, tales that make your spine tingle will fill the air.  The howling begins at 7 pm. Bring someone to hold your hand.  Admission is charged.

Catasauqua Public Library, 3rd and Bridge Streets, Catasauqua, PA 18032 will host family-friendly stories and songs on October 26th from 6:30 to 8 pm. FREE to the public.  Bring some canned food to keep the less fortunate in this realm!  Costumes are encouraged.

Story Circle at Godfrey’s

It’s time for the Holiday Story Circle at Godfrey Daniels.  Bring a story, poem or memory to share at the free monthly event.  (This month is special!)

Story Circle begins at 7:30 pm and is open to everyone, tellers and listeners alike.  There is a Story circle on the second Wednesday of every month – except August
