Stories of Autumn – Tellabration!

The Lehigh Valley Storytelling Guild takes part in Tellabration!, again this year.  LVSG’s entry into world wide storytelling is a fund raising concert for adults on November 23rd, 2019 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 44 East Market Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018.  All the particulars are on our calendar over there on the right. This event benefits the Trinity Episcopal Soup Kitchen.

Tellabration! was spearheaded by the National Storytelling Network. Originally designated as the “International Day of Storytelling”, Tellabration! has become a seasonal event occurring every November around the third or fourth weekend of the month.

Our guild claims the Saturday before Thanksgiving as Tellabration! This year’s theme reflects the season; Stories of Autumn, Tales of Thanks.

Stories form our perceptions of the world.  If we listen to stories of suspicion and fear – like the stories of dread and horror at Halloween – we see the world as a place full of hazards.  Take the time to be grateful for the large and small blessings we have as we enter the darkest time of the year.  Stories of gratitude will keep us as warm, perhaps even warmer, than our furnaces and fireplaces. Hear how gratitude changes our story characters’ lives for the better.  There is so much good in the world.  Let us tell you how to be part of that good.
