Story Circle- Fabulous, Fun and Free!

Every month – except for August – on the second Wednesday of the month, we gather at Godfrey Daniels, 7 East 4th Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015, at 7:30 pm, and share stories.  Sometimes, the stories are about our lives – that car accident, that fall from grace, (or from a great height), that teacher who changed our lives, pets we have loved.  These stories are comical, tragic, and once in a while, transformative.

Sometimes, the stories are folk tales or fairy tales or traditional tales.  All stories are true, so these stories challenge us to find meaning in their fantastic beings and impossible quests – Joseph Campbell Time, everyone!

Anyone can tell at a Story Circle. Some LVSG members show up to try out new stories.  Some people walk in off the street.  Tellers who want to win the Lehigh Valley Story Slam try their stories out here first.  Writers struggling with a plot point share their story lines and get feedback.  Sometimes, a teller just wants to be able to share a personal memory of someone they loved.

The tone can rocket from hilarity to introspection in the time it takes for two people to swap places on stage.

Feedback is available – but only if you want it!

There’s coffee and tea on tap (for sale).  Companionship and warmth abounds.
