Mary Ann Paterniti – Kids’ Open Mic!

Bring your best story, song, joke or trick to the Annual Kids’ Open Mic at Godfrey Daniels.  This year’s MC is the wonderful, warm and witty Maryann Paterniti.  She’ll make you want to show off your storytelling chops. AND she’s a wonderful storyteller, as well.  This event is part of the LVSG’s Children’s Series.

Cops’n’Kids will be there handing out free books.

$5.50 admission is charged.  Children 5 and under get in free.  Pay at the door.

Ingrid Bohn – 2018 Children’s Series

The 2018 Children’s Series starts with a firecracker performer, Ingrid Bohn.  Join Ingrid as she warms up the January afternoon with her well told tales.  2 pm at Godfrey Daniels, 7 East 4th Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015.

Cops’n’Kids will hand out free books to each child who attends.

Let the joy of the storytelling season (which is All. Year. Long., btw) spill over into the New Year with our Children’s Storytelling series at Godfrey Daniels.  The fun starts on January 21st at 2 pm.  SO MUCH FUN!!!!!

Under One Sun: benefit for Puerto Rico

Lehigh Valley Storytelling Guild is proud to sponsor this event!  It’s a family friendly free-for-all featuring a trio of storytellers and a quartet of musical acts on November 12th from 2 to 4 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, 44 East Market Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018.

All proceeds will go to UNIDOS, the Hispanic Federation’s Puerto Rico Relief initiative.

Charles Kiernan, Ingrid Bohn and Judy England-McCarthy will tell stories  with warmth, welcome and wit.

Chiles’ Play a children’s song writing duo, Today, We Fight with Peace, a father/daughter duo, Tom and Betty Druckenmiller, an old time music pair and Closer, a classic rock band, will keep your toes tapping and your fingers snapping.

Admission is $15 for adults, $5 for children 10 and under, and $35 maximum for families of 2 adults and 2 or more children.  So bring the whole family.

Sherman Theater Kids’ Series – Larry Sceurman

On Saturday, November 4th, at 2 pm, Larry Sceurman will tell stories to kids of all ages at the Sherman Theater at 522 Main Street, Stroudsburg, PA, 18360.

The Sherman Theater’s second event in its new Kids’ Series is set for Saturday, November 4 at 2:00 PM at Sherman Showcase, 522 Main Street, Stroudsburg. This six-part series features singer/songwriters and storytellers from across the country offering family-friendly entertainment.

Performing on November 4, storyteller Larry Sceurman, brings heartfelt stories and magical tales to Pocono children. He will spin a variety of folk tales, fairy tales, moral tales and personal stories appropriate for all ages.

As part of the Fine Arts Discovery Series of the Sherman Theater, this show is open to the public at no charge, however donations will be accepted. The Kids’ Series was developed to provide an opportunity for children in the northeastern Pennsylvania community to enjoy arts and culture.

The Sherman Theater Kids’ Series is underwritten in part by the Lester G. Abeloff Foundation, Marilyn Coles, and First Keystone Community Bank. Scary Stories at Lower Macungie Public Library

Ingrid Bohn and Robin Reichert will cast spooky spells over their listeners at the Lower Macungie Library on November 2 at 6 pm  Join the ghouls and goblins that creep through these tales. Lower Macungie Library is at 3450 Brookside Road, Macungie, PA 18062.

Halloween in Piscataway with Ingrid Bohn – 2 shows

Ingrid Bohn will keep you in suspense with her spine tingling family friendly eerie tales, jokes, and songs that will be sure to spook you silly.  This event is free to all comers and very family friendly.  There will be two shows – one at 7 pm and then again at 8 pm.  Expect Halloween hi-jinks!

Halloween Happening

Denise McCormack will tell stories of ghosts and goblins at the County Collage of Morris, 214 Center Grove Road, Randolph, NJ, 07869 from 4 to 5:30 pm.  The Student Community Center Lobby will be the site of this event.  McCormack presents these stories to families and school aged children.  Admission is free. Costumes are encouraged.

 

Scary Stories at the Public Library of Catasauqua

Ingrid Bohn, Denise McCormack, and Karen Maurer will tell family friendly frightening fables and fabrications at the Public Library of Catasauqua on Thursday, October 26th from 6 to 7:30 pm.  Please come in costume for this mysterious event.  The Catasuaqua Public Library is at 3rd and Bridge Streets in Catasauqua, PA 18032.  Admission is free.  Canned food donations will be collected for Second Harvest Food Bank.

Scary Tales at Emmaus Public Library

Join Karen Maurer, Charles Kiernan and Bruce Marold as they tell deliciously scary tales at the Emmaus Public Library on October 17th. Miss Sue, the youth services librarian, will make a special appearance. The chills begin at 7 pm.  The Emmaus Public Library is at 11 East Main Street in Emmaus, PA, 18049.  This event is FREE to all ages.  Please bring a canned food item for the Second Harvest Food Bank.
